Tamil Nadu: Prof Kumarasamy and Adalarasan re-elected as RSS Sanghachalak for Uttar  and Dakshin region

In the elections held on February 24 to elect the Sanghachalak of Uttar and Dakshin Tamil Nadu branches of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the incumbent leaders, Prof. K Kumarasamy and Adalarasan, have been re-elected for another three-year term.

In the election conducted at Rameswaram for the Dakshin Tamil Nadu presidency, 65-year-old Adalarasan, a scion of the Ramanathapuram kingdom’s Sethupathi Maharaj family, retained his position unopposed. Adalarasan, known for his lineage and involvement in the Ram Mandir’s Prana Pratishtha, continues to lead the southern region.

Meanwhile, in Puducherry, Prof. K Kumarasamy secured his re-election unopposed for the Uttar Tamil Nadu presidency. A former professor based in Salem, Prof. Kumarasamy brings his experience and leadership to the forefront for another term.

The democratic elections for the state presidents of Uttar and Dakshin Tamil Nadu are held every three years, ensuring a transparent and democratic process within the organisation
