The mention of Tirupati or the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara temple invariably brings to mind its delectable ladoos. As Ayodhya gears up for the grand consecration event on January 22, preparations are in full swing, with invitations being distributed to both VIPs and the public at large. A comprehensive plan covering special air, train, bus services, private vehicular traffic, security arrangements, and lodging and boarding facilities has been set in motion to accommodate the multitude of devotees converging from far and wide to witness this historic occasion.

Special trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, are scheduled to transport passengers from various parts of the country to Ayodhya. The recently inaugurated world-class airport and railway stations are poised to facilitate the seamless arrival of devotees.

Ayodhya has already received holy waters and soil from all corners of the country, enhancing the spiritual sanctity of the event. In a notable gesture, Nepal has sent over 500 devotees from its Ram Janaki Temple, bearing 3,000 special gifts, symbolising the enduring spiritual bond between Nepal and India.

Simultaneously, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced its plan to contribute to the grandeur of the Sri Ram Mandir consecration by sending one lakh ladoos to Ayodhya. These delectable ladoos, weighing 25 grams each and containing cashews, cardamom, ghee, and clove, are synonymous with the divine offerings to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala. The TTD, which manages the Balaji temple, has meticulously prepared these ladoos for distribution to the devotees attending the consecration on January 22.

TTD Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy expressed that Lord Venkateswara and Lord Ram are both incarnations of Maha Vishnu, and the entire nation eagerly anticipates the grand inauguration of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra in Ayodhya. The distribution of Tirupati Ladoo prasadam is a goodwill gesture from TTD to the devotees attending the event. Each ladoo, weighing around 25 grams contrasts with the usual ladoo weight of approximately 175 grams. The TTD has organised transportation of the prasadam to Ayodhya by road, ensuring its availability a day before the grand event, with a shelf life of five days.

It’s noteworthy that the TTD daily produces about 4 lakh big-sized ladoos (175 grams each) and 75,000 small ones (25 grams each) for devotees. The smaller ladoos are distributed as Prasad after darshan in the Tirumala temple, while the larger ones are sold. TTD is awaiting permission from the UP government for land allocation to construct a temple for Lord Venkateswara in Ayodhya. Additionally, the TTD has ambitious plans to build Balaji temples in every state across India, with successful establishments already in Tamil Nadu, Jammu, New Delhi, Kurukshetra (Haryana), Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, and Karnataka..

This auspicious offering from Tirupati, known for its devotion to Bhagwan Vishnu, adds a touch of spiritual sweetness to the historic event, symbolising the unity of diverse religious traditions in India.
