In a significant event at Fergusson College, Pune, the book launch of “Vyatha Hindustanchya Phalnichi,” authored by Dr Girish Aphale, unfolded at the Pune Book Festival 2023. The distinguished event was graced by Sunil Ambekar, the Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), along with the presence of eminent authors Prashant Pole, Pratibha Ranade, and geo-political expert Kedar Naik.

The Marathi book, ‘Vyatha Hindustanchya Phalnichi,’ delves into the lesser-known history of India’s partition, shedding light on the untold stories and atrocities that transpired during this crucial period. The launch ceremony witnessed a gathering of intellectuals, historians, and literature enthusiasts keen on understanding the intricate details of India’s partition.

Sunil Ambekar, in his keynote address, emphasised the critical need for awareness among Indian citizens, particularly the younger generation, about the historical events surrounding the partition. He expressed concern that a substantial number of citizens, including politicians and political parties, lack a comprehensive understanding of India’s partition history. Ambekar stressed the importance of presenting historical narratives through literature as a means to bridge the knowledge gap and connect with the younger demographic.

“It is necessary to present the history of the partition of India to the next generation. To achieve this, we need more writers and literature dedicated to exploring and presenting this historical chapter,” opined Ambekar.

Furthermore, Ambekar underscored the urgency of engaging more writers in documenting and disseminating historical facts, encouraging them to contribute towards filling the gaps in knowledge. He acknowledged the role of literature in preserving and passing on the invaluable lessons from the past to future generations.

‘Vyatha Hindustan Chya Phalnichi’ takes readers on a journey to uncover the truth behind the partition of India, highlighting the unimaginable sufferings endured by millions of Hindus. The book meticulously explores the question of whether the partition was truly inevitable, offering readers a detailed examination of the events leading to the mass killings during this tumultuous period in Indian history.

The launch event also featured insights from eminent authors Prashant Pole, Pratibha Ranade, and geo-political expert Kedar Naik. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort needed to explore and present historical truths that have often been overshadowed or neglected.

As ‘Vyatha Hindustan Chya Phalnichi’ emerges as a significant reference for readers seeking a deeper understanding of India’s partition, the book promises to contribute to the ongoing dialogue on historical awareness and the importance of literature in preserving the collective memory of a nation.

The book launch at the Pune Book Festival 2023, graced by RSS leader Sunil Ambekar, marks a crucial step towards unravelling the complexities of India’s partition and underscores the need for continued efforts to preserve and disseminate the rich historical tapestry of the nation.
