In a significant two-day coordination committee meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)-affiliated organisations held in Jammu, Dr Krishna Gopal, the Sah Sarkaryavah of RSS, emphasised the organisation’s commitment to making India a Vishwa Guru. The meeting, which began on December 16, discussed crucial issues, including the need to double the number of ‘Shakhas’ by 2025 in anticipation of the RSS centenary celebrations.
Dr Gopal urged all sister organisations to intensify their public outreach across Jammu & Kashmir, emphasising the core value of nationalism for the Sangh. He underscored that the RSS has not compromised on nationalism and will continue to uphold this principle in the future. The RSS Sah Sarkaryavah, seeking comprehensive reports and feedback from the leaders of all 37 affiliated organisations, including the BJP, stressed the importance of reaching every household in the Union Territory of J&K with the message of the Sangh.
Acknowledging the expectations of the people from the Sangh, Dr Gopal commended the Modi Government for its efforts in combating terrorism. He urged the Sangh cadre to collaborate closely with the Government to convey a strong message that the people of J&K stand united against anti-national elements aiming to sow seeds of hatred and create destruction. He credited the Modi Government for taking praiseworthy steps in countering terrorism, resulting in a significant impact even in neighbouring countries.
Dr Gopal highlighted the role of Pakistan in the long-standing turmoil in J&K, stating that it is now facing the consequences of supporting terrorism. He noted that terrorists trained and armed by Pakistan are now turning against their own benefactor, leading to internal strife. He asserted that Pakistan is reaping the fruit of its own actions.
The RSS Sah Sarkaryavah discussed the prevailing political situation with leaders of sister organisations, emphasising the need to imbibe the spirit of patriotism and nationalism among the people. He clarified that the Sangh is not against any community or religion but is working to strengthen inter-community bonds and promote peace for the progress and development of the country.
“The main objective of Sangh is to make India Vishwa Guru (World leader), and the present Government is also committed to that,” Dr Gopal stated. However, he emphasised that achieving this objective requires total peace and brotherhood in the country.
Dr Gopal recognised the diverse communities in India, including Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians, who believe in the unity and integrity of the country. He reiterated that the Sangh has no issue with those who respect India’s culture, traditions, great men, and love the nation. However, he made it clear that the RSS will not tolerate forces inimical to India that seek to demolish its culture and ethos.
Highlighting the historical journey of the Sangh since its inception in 1925, Dr Gopal stated that the organisation’s activists have witnessed and contributed to the country’s resilience through various upheavals. He credited the Sangh for playing a role in preserving what was lost during 800 years of foreign invasion and rule.
Dr Gopal expressed optimism about India’s progress, noting that the country has made rapid advancements in the last decade. He emphasised that with the government in their hands, India is gaining prestige on the global stage, becoming a powerful nation. He envisioned a future where India regains its lost glory and becomes a world leader.
In conclusion, Dr. Gopal called upon leaders of Sangh bodies to ensure the widespread participation of the Ramjanam Bhoomi Kalash Yatra, scheduled in connection with the inauguration of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya on January 22. Additionally, he discussed preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections with BJP leaders, seeking complete feedback on their readiness for the polls.
Prominent leaders from various RSS-affiliated organisations, including BJP leaders such as Ravinder Raina, Ashok Koul, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Dr. Nirmal Singh, and Kavinder Gupta, participated in the two-day coordination committee meeting. The meeting saw representation from 37 offshoots of the Sangh, reinforcing the collaborative efforts of affiliated organisations in achieving the shared goals of nationalism and progress.
