In a historic event slated for January 22, 2024, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has extended invitations to an impressive list of 7,000 guests, marking the consecration ceremony of the long-awaited Ram temple. The guest list comprises an eclectic mix of dignitaries, ranging from cricket legends to Bollywood superstars and prominent industrialists. Among the distinguished invitees are Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Amitabh Bachchan, Mukesh Ambani, and Gautam Adani.
The iconic actors, Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia, famed for portraying Lord Ram and Sita in the classic TV serial “Ramayan,” have also been invited to partake in the ceremony, adding a touch of nostalgia to the auspicious occasion.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already received an invitation, emphasising the significance of this event on a national level. The ceremony aims to attract 3,000 VVIPs, including prominent figures such as RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, yoga guru Ramdev, and industrialists Ratan Tata and Gautam Adani.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has not only focused on luminaries but also extended invitations to the families of kar sevaks who lost their lives during the Ram temple movement, underscoring the collective journey towards this momentous day. Additionally, the trust plans to invite 4,000 seers from various parts of the country, bringing a spiritual dimension to the ceremony.
Champat Rai, secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, shared insights into the global reach of the event. “Efforts are also being made to invite one representative each from 50 countries for the consecration ceremony,” he revealed. Moreover, family members of the 50 kar sevaks who sacrificed their lives for the cause have been invited, along with judges, scientists, writers, and poets.
The invitees represent a diverse spectrum, including saints, priests, shankaracharyas, former civil servants, retired army officers, lawyers, musicians, and recipients of prestigious awards such as Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. VHP spokesperson Sharad Sharma acknowledged the crucial role of journalists in the Ram temple movement, expressing gratitude by inviting those who supported the cause through their reporting and writings.
To streamline the entry process, VVIPs will receive barcode passes, ensuring a smooth and organised participation in the ceremony. Out of the 7,000 invitees, around 4,000 will be religious leaders from across the country, while the remaining 3,000 will consist of VVIPs from diverse fields. A registration link will be shared with the invitees, generating a unique barcode serving as their entry pass.
Champat Rai also provided insights into the meticulous preparation for the consecration ceremony. He revealed that three idols of Ram Lala, representing a 5-year-old boy, are being carved from rocks in Karnataka and Rajasthan. These idols, already 90 per cent complete, are undergoing final touches, with the most captivating one set to be chosen for the consecration.
The ceremony is anticipated to be a blend of spirituality, tradition, and contemporary eminence, symbolising the collective aspirations and dedication of millions who have long awaited the construction and consecration of the Ram temple. As the nation eagerly awaits this historic event, the grandeur of the occasion promises to leave an indelible mark on the cultural and religious landscape of India.
