PM Narendra Modi took the Chhattisgarh Congress Government head-on and raised questions about the involvement of the Chief Minister in the Mahadev betting scam, urging the party to reveal the extent of funds received and any transfers to the party’s high command.

During the rally, PM Modi highlighted the magnitude of the ‘Mahadev betting app scam,’ pegging it at Rs 508 crore. He pointed out that investigating agencies had recovered significant amounts of cash in connection with the case, leading to the incarceration of a close aide of the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister.

“I have some questions for the Congress leaders who are fond of teaching mathematics…I want to ask some questions about the party. The ‘Mahadev betting app scam’ is worth Rs 508 crore, and the investigating agencies have recovered loads of cash in this case. A close aide of the Chhattisgarh CM is also in jail,” PM Modi asserted during the election rally.

PM Modi further said that Congress can do anything in the greed for vote bank and appeasement. “Congress did not even respect the faith of Dalits, OBCs and tribals. After so many decades of independence, if anyone is poor in the country today, the only culprit is Congress. Even after decades of the ‘Garibi Hatao’ slogan, Dalits, OBCs and tribals of the country remain poor, then Congress is the culprit,” he said.

He accused the Congress of “looting” the state and said that the party will not be seen in power on Dev Deepawali.”Yesterday, you celebrated Diwali. But the coming Dev Deepawali will bring new joy and enthusiasm for Chhattisgarh. The Congress that has looted Chhattisgarh will not be seen anywhere on Dev Deepawali,” he said.

Continuing his attack on Congress, he said that the grand old party doesn’t like that I speak about the development of Chhattisgarh.

“When the Congress government was formed in Chhattisgarh, there was an agreement for the post of Chief Minister for two and a half years. But in the first two and a half years, the Chief Minister looted so much and committed so much corruption that he accumulated a huge amount of looted money,” PM Modi said.

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), which is investigating the Mahadev Book Online Betting APP syndicate, claimed earlier that by questioning Asim Das, an arrested cash courier from the UAE, and the forensic examination of the phone recovered from him, and examination of an email sent by one of the high-ranking accused of Mahadev network, many startling facts came to light.

The agency claimed that regular payments were made in the past and, so far, about Rs 508 crore has been paid by the promoters of the Mahadev betting app to CM Bhupesh Baghel. The source of these alleged payments is under investigation, they added.

The state of Chhattisgarh is one of the five states that are going to the polls this month. Chhattisgarh is voting in two phases, with the first phase of 20 seats concluding on November 7.The remaining 70 seats will go for polling on November 17. The counting of votes will be done on December 3.

The Prime Minister’s call for transparency comes amid ongoing investigations into the Mahadev betting app scandal, with the public eagerly awaiting the Congress party’s response to the specific financial queries posed by PM Modi.
