Jammu and Kashmir: Pakistani troops start unprovoked firing at BSF jawans in RS Pura

Border Security Force Jawans said that on evening of October 26 Pakistani troops started unprovoked firing on BSF troops at the International Border in violation of the ceasefire in the RS Pura sector.

The unprovoked firing started by Pakistani Troops on BSF posts in Arnia area was befittingly retaliated by BSF troops, informed Border Security Force Jammu. According to BSF the firing started at around 8 p.m. and is still going on.

Earlier today, Three Lashkar-e- Taiba terrorists were killed in an encounter between terrorists and security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district in the Machhal sector on October 21, police said.

BSF finds another China-made drone near India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Amritsar

Another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics via drone was foiled by BSF and Punjab Police on October 26 and they recovered a drone during joint search operation on the outskirts of Bharopal village in Amritsar (Rural) district, said BSF.

According to the BSF, on specific information a joint search operation was launched by BSF and Punjab police and at around 3 PM a drone was recovered from the paddy field, near Bharopal village of the district. The recovered drone is a Quadcopter (Model – DJI Mavic 3 Classic, made in China). The drone was seized and further action are underway.

A day ago as well, BSF recovered a similar Quadcopter (Model – DJI Mavic 3a Classic) from a paddy field in Dhanoe Khurd village in Amritsar during a search operation. “On October 25,  2023, during afternoon hours, on specific information regarding the presence of a drone, a search operation was launched by BSF on the outskirts of Dhanoe Khurd village in Amritsar district,” the BSF said.
