Gujarat is a model State in tackling drug-related issues: Harsh Sanghvi

In Bharat, dialogue has been an integral part of society since ancient times, and people are free to express their views. Through dialogue, many contentious issues in society have been resolved. On October 10, ‘Panchjanya’ organised 'Sabarmati Samvad', which saw the participation of many political leaders and social thinkers

“In today’s time, drugs have become a fashion status in Western countries. However, Bharat is still safe compared to the West. Those who are associating it with the Gujarat model need to know that the Gujarat Police is a model in tackling drug-related issues. Gujarat Police apprehends drugs in sea while confronting bullets. So this is indeed the Gujarat model. Gujarat has also seized drugs from Kolkata. Gujarat Police has been successful in seizing drugs from Punjab’s jails. Gujarat Police has played a crucial role. Drugs are a bigger issue for everyone in society and every individual will have to fight it,” said Harsh Sanghavi, Minister of State for Home, Gujarat, in “Sabarmati Samvad” organised by ‘Panchajanya’ on October 10 in Ahmedabad.

The land of Gujarat is always ready for the youth. The Gujarat model is also connected with global development, he added.

“Many people believe that Bharat became poor because it didn’t make progress in economics and there was no science. This is a continuous process. We must know our history and learn from it,” said Sunil Ambekar, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Pointing out that if a mobile is hacked or hangs, it doesn’t work, Sunil Ambekar said when there is memory loss, you don’t know what to do. “Likewise, when memory is lost in the country, the country gets hung. In our country, many people don’t know where to go. We still don’t know who we are? It is high time to recover our memory loss. We should know who destroyed our knowledge system.”

“People say that Bharat is an agriculture-based country. Of course, Bharat has agriculture, but it is not the only thing people in Bharat were skilled at. In Gumla, traditional steelmaking is still alive today” -Sunil Ambekar, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, RSS

“Our education system made a significant impact on entrepreneurship. People say that Bharat is an agriculture-based country. Of course, Bharat has expertise in agriculture, but it is not the only thing people in Bharat were skilled at. It is true that every individual had some special talent. In Gumla, traditional steelmaking is still alive today,” he added. Noting that the way Hamas carried out the terrorist attack, many things need to be understood, Shehzad Poonawalla, National Spokesperson, Bharatiya Janata Party, said, “You are either with terrorism or against it. Those who support terrorism are the same people who labelled 26/11 as Hindu terrorism and chanted slogans in support of Afzal Guru. Here it is important to mention that Israel is the country that stood with Bharat in the 1999 war against Pakistan. It is unfortunate that people of a party, whose two leaders lost their lives in the terror attack, are standing with terrorism.”

“The alliance between the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress is like a Nikah, where ‘triple talaqe’ happenes every day from Punjab to Delhi. People in I.N.D.I. Alliance, who didn’t tolerate eachother earlier, are now coming together. This is because of the fear of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These people have come to divide society, they sow the seeds of division everywhere,” he added.

BJP MLA Rivaba, Ravindrasinh Jadeja

BJP leader Kapil Mishra said innocent people in Israel were surrounded and cowardly attacked by Hamas terrorists. “These heinous crimes were posted by these terrorists on social media platforms from their own mobile phones. Those who supported Hamas after the attack on Israel, why didn’t they march when the attacks happened in Mumbai or the blasts in Ahmedabad? There is a conspiracy to divide Hindus.”

“In Sanatan culture, we are taught from childhood that if you are influenced by someone, you should touch their feet and show respect. That means you should pay your respect to them. This gives us positive energy. This is the reason why our culture and traditions are viewed with respect around the globe. No matter what we achieve in our life, we should not abandon our values. If you have any doubts in your thoughts, read the Bhagvad Gita. This will certainly show you the path to come out of this. Bharat is the only country in the world whose land is referred to as Mother. Therefore, it is our responsibility to preserve the dignity of our nation,” said BJP MLA Rivaba Ravindrasinh Jadeja.

Kapil Mishra, BJP leader and Shahzad Poonawala, BJP National spokesperson

Notably, many eminent personalities, political leaders and social thinkers participated in ‘Sabarmati Samvad’.
