Uttarakhand Police, on October 3, sealed the property of drug smuggler and gangster Kapil Dev worth Rs 50 lakh, according to Police.
Dehradun Senior Superintendent Of Police Ajay Singh said, ” Along with the Gangster Act, many cases of assault, robbery, theft and drug trafficking have been registered against the accused in various Police stations of the district.”
The SSP said that the accused had acquired the said illegal property by earning illegal profits from theft, robbery, drug trafficking and criminal activities.
The SSP has instructed the subordinate officers to break the financial back of habitual criminals by confiscating their illegally acquired property.
SSP said that illegal property acquired by habitual criminals is being identified, and soon, similar concrete action will be taken against more criminals.
