On September 19, Hindus across the world observed Ganesh Chaturthi and so were the Hindus living in the United Kingdom’s Leicester town. The town has been making headlines over the past few years as Hindus in the locality witnessed multiple targeted attacks on them. On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, a similar incident broke out in the town.
Notably, the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations were disrupted after a team of cops headed by officer Adam Ahmed manhandled the priest and the devotees. The videos of the incident went viral on social media. In the said video, Ahmed was caught misbehaving with the devotees and the priest for celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi.
The video was shared on social media by Insight UK, a social movement started by Hindus and Indians living in Britain. Sharing the video, the organisation questioned, Leicester Police if the behaviour of the police official was acceptable.
It is pertinent to mention that this is not the first time that Ahmed has been caught manhandling or misbehaving with the Hindus living in Leicester. In July this year, videos of him harassing Hindu devotees who went to attend Ram Katha by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham went viral.
A video of Ahmed manhandling people from the day was shared on social media platform X by a verified user with the caption, “Crowds of Devotees in Leicester coming for Dharshan and to listen to Ram Katha by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham. at Prajapati hall this morning. First they had to brave the heavy rains, then manhandled and beaten by an M police officer. There was poor management and not enough police. Was this deliberately done? That Hinduphobic police officer needs to be suspended and criminal charges brought against him! Leicestershire police have shown over and over again, how Hindu-phobic they are! What was the need for such aggression?! We all know the reason!”

Taking it of social media platform ‘X’ Insight UK wrote, “Disruption of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Leicester with the use of excessive force by officer Adam Ahmed of Leicestershire Police. We condemn the actions of the officer and believe that the actions by Mr Ahmed were uncalled for. Interestingly, Officer Ahmed was the same Policeman who created controversy outside the Prajapati hall on 23rd July 2023.”

Even after the resistance from the Hindus living in the town, no official statement has been issued by the Leicester administration. Notably, in the video Ahmed was seen taking the priest from the event and when the nearby devotees stopped them and questioned the motive, they too faced a similar fate.
Notably, the video was shared by several people on social media platform X questioning the intention of the government, one verified user wrote, “This police Muslim officer has no right to lay a finger on anyone! Yet, here he is manhandling all the peaceful Hindus celebrating their religious day .. Arrest this Somali Muslim police officer! He clearly has a hatred for Hindus! Why has he not been suspended from the police force? Hindu minority are no longer safe in Leicester.”
I have been informed that the owner of Bobby’s restaurant (the very first Indian restaurant to open in leicester) Belgrave Road, Mr Dharmesh Lakhani was manhandled, handcuffed, and taken to the police station by the Somali Muslim police officer! Mr Lakhani had not done anything… https://t.co/V6Z4uZqC4W pic.twitter.com/WD2ufanYzW

The same user informed that the victim person has been identified as Dharmesh Lakhani, owner of Bobby’s restaurant on Belgrave Road. It was the first Indian restaurant in Leicester.
It has been alleged that, Dharmesh who is the second generation of his family to run the restaurant in the town was falsely arrested just for celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi. Notably, the Indian restaurant owned by Dharmesh’s father Bhagwanji Lakhani became a significant cultural symbol as it was the city’s first Indian eatery.
Islamisation of UK
Leicester in Great Britain, known for its vibrant and vivid multiculturalist atmosphere and cultural diversity, is gradually being eaten by the threat of rapid Islamisation, the same way termites infect wood.
The city is home to fifty-five mosques, eighteen Hindu Temples, nine Sikh Gurudwaras, two synagogues, one Jain temple and two Buddhist Centres. The presence of many religious shrines in the city is akin to a “badge of honour”.
The primary reason behind the Islamisation of the city is attributed to demographic changes. According to The Independent, Leicester is a city where white people are in the minority. Islamisation has even replaced Christianity as the dominant religion.
The after-effects and repercussions of Islamisation were observed on 28th August 2022 after a burst of violence spread like wildfire throughout the city. The driving factor was the loss of Pakistan to India in a cricket match. Some members of the Indian Community began to roar with slogans such as “Pakistan Murdabad”.
Social media platforms play a significant role in false manipulation. The death of a Sikh man was reported as a Muslim victim’s death. Similarly, a Hindu Family celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi was attacked, but the news was broadcasted that a Muslim Girl became an unlucky target to three Hindus.
Subsequently, The Indian Community in Leicester was subjected to knife attacks, stone, and bottle throwing. In addition, several cars were torched, and religious places and institutions came under siege.
For the first time since the 7th Century AD, England is no longer majority Christian. Around 1300 years ago, British tribes converted en masse to Christianity. In contemporary times their population was 59 percent, and now the figure has dropped to 46 percent.
The menace has reached such an extent that the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey, stated that Christianity is now a generation away from extinction.
The most famous name prevalent in England in 2022 is Mohammed.
Most Muslims in England live in Birmingham, Tower Hamlets, Bradford and Newham, Redbridge, and Luton, to name a few. The total Muslim population in England will be 13 million by 2050. Birmingham, in particular, has an enormous number of Muslim people.
With almost five million Muslims, there are thousands of new buildings with domes and minarets, and in the decades ahead, mosques are predicted to mushroom across the whole land.
An American Writer from the Wall Street Journal, Andy Ngo, has recounted a visit to Luton with demography of 32 percent Muslims. Under the pretext of sightseeing, a group of Punjabi-speaking men led him to a place where Pakistani Flags were Soaring High.
There was gender segregation, halal meat shops and a vandalised Church. He was finally led to an Islamic Center where the imam and maulvis asked him to convert to Islam.
No one knows what Britain will be like in 30 years. There are several concerns regarding a scenario in which large parts of the UK and Europe could resemble Pakistan, Syria and other nations of the Muslim World. Some people have referred to this Islamisation process as the “end of Britain.”
