Dr Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is on Varanasi visit from today, August 6. He will meet Shankaracharya Swami Vijayendra Saraswati Maharaj of Kanchi Peeth and seek his blessings. Besides, he will participate in the religious events organised at the Math during the Chaturmas.

Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, will also be present at the event. He will meet with BJP workers in Varanasi and review the work with officials. Before the programs, the CM may visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

In Varanasi, Jagatguru Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peethadhipati Swami Vijayendra Saraswati Maharaj is undertaking the Chaturmas Vrat for 88 days. He will engage in religious programs, conferences, discourses on Puranas, havans, and yajnas in Kashi. Several other politicians, including the CM, have already participated in his events.

This is the second visit of Dr Mohan Bhagwat to Varanasi in a month. He will stay in Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Lanka.

Notably, On July 18, Dr Mohan Bhagwat visited Varanasi. He was on a five days visit. During these five days, Sarsanghchalak Dr Bhagwat also traveled to nearby districts like Mirzapur and Ghazipur and interacted with sanyasis and engaged in dialogues to uplift society.

He also participated in the Temple Expo and inaugurated the event.

Dr Mohan Bhagwat on July 22, 2023, while addressing the representatives of temples from all over the country at the International Temples Convention and Expo 2023 that was held in Varanasi, said, “Hindu temples play an important role in awakening and nurturing faith and devotion. We must empower even the smallest temples in Bharat. Many temples are under the government’s control, and we should think about how to integrate them. Temple connectivity is already happening, and the next step is to survey all the temples. If the faith and the religion itself do not exist, how will things function?”

Dr Bhagwat had also praised the transformed appearance of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. He said that the presence of Bhagwan Ram exists in every particle, and therefore, society’s unity and message will emanate from the temples. Dr Bhagwat emphasised the need for temples that care about every section of society and every individual’s concerns. He urged people to make plans and connect with everyone.
