A day after the mob encounter of dreaded gangster Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf foreign media houses started propagating their propaganda. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Reuters called Atiq a ‘Robin–Hood’ and ‘Law Maker’ respectively.
Ahmed and his brother were shot point blank by a group of three men including Lavlesh Tiwari, Arun Kumar Maurya and Mohit Singh alias Shani. He was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police for conspiring the murder of lawyer Umesh Pal.
Earlier this week Ahmed’s son Asad and the shooter Ghulam were shot dead by a team of UP-STF (special task force, Uttar Pradesh) in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.
Ahmed and his brother Ashraf collectively had more than 200 cases of murders, dacoity, assaults, fraud and illegal activities. They had crores of illegal property which was demolished under the ‘Anti-Mafia’ drive by the Uttar Pradesh district administration.
With the brief above it is quite easy to understand who was Atiq.
The Tweet mentioned below was done by a journalist for the propaganda news company BBC, Geeta Pandey.
Quoting her report published at the BBC, Geeta wrote, “Atiq Ahmed was “Robin Hood, a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde type of character” who helped poor people, paying for weddings & school uniforms, gave money during Eid. But this persona unravelled with mounting accusations of heinous crimes”

In the report, the BBC journalist wrote, “The 60-year-old was born in a poor family in Prayagraj and was a school dropout, but over the years he amassed huge wealth, enjoyed political patronage and power and came to wield immense influence in the city of his birth and beyond.”
She has quoted former director general of Uttar Pradesh’s state police, Vikram Singh saying Atiq was, “Robin Hood, a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde type of character” who “spent lavishly to help poor people – paying for weddings, giving them money during Eid festivals, and helping poor women buy school uniforms and books for their children”.
The Twitter profile of the journalist shows she lives in the capital city of New Delhi and produces a show called Kalki Presents. She writes for the BBC.

The report quoted by the handle says, “A former lawmaker in India’s parliament, convicted of kidnapping, was shot dead along with his brother while police were escorting them for a medical check-up in a slaying caught on live television”.
After carrying out the slaying, the suspected gunmen shouted Hindu religious chants, reads the report.
It reads, “The state government, controlled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu nationalist party, has ordered a judicial probe into the killings.”
Similarly, Al-Jazeera reported the incident as, “Three suspects quickly surrendered to the police after the shooting with at least one of them chanting, “Jai Shri Ram,” or “Hail Lord Ram,” a slogan that has become a battle cry for Hindu nationalists in their campaign against Muslims.”
The two victims were from India’s Muslim minority. Police did not say whether they were investigating a possible sectarian motive in the killings, reads the Al-Jazeera report.
The Washington Post reported the incident and a report published by the portal on April 16 reads, “Uttar Pradesh is governed by India’s ruling Hindu nationalist Bhartiya Janata Party since 2017. Since then, over 180 people facing criminal charges in India’s most populous state have been killed in so-called “police encounters” that rights groups say are often extrajudicial killings.”
This is not the first time that any foreign media publications are busy spreading lies about India. The journalists working in these portals sit in India and spread venom against their own country, demean their own government and curse the legal system. Every time the easiest target for them are Hindus only.
The German website, DW also published a report on Atiq’s murder and wrote, “Numerous politicians from all political parties throughout India are facing criminal charges, with Uttar Pradesh being a particular hub for such cases.”
According to the Association for Democratic Reforms, nearly half of the state’s government ministers — including the state premier — face criminal charges, it said.
Recently, the German website spread lives about Gau-Rakshaks. The report claimed that minorities are loosing their jobs and lives because of rising ‘vegetarian Nationalism’ in India.
Similarly, the website called the Hindutva songs as ‘Hindutva Pop: Ani-Muslim hate music’, a documentary on this was published on the official YouTube channel of the site.
