Dhaka: The auspicious Ram Navami of Purushottam Bhagwan Sri Ramchandra was celebrated in Bangladesh with religious solemnity and dignity. The procession was organised at the initiative of Bangladesh National Hindu Mahazot in all the districts and upazilas of the country, including the capital Dhaka. Various programs, including Puja of Prabhu Sri Ramchandra, biography discussion, Ramayan recitation, Ramayana song, and Ramayana Quiz Competition, were organised.
The National Hindu Mahazot organised a huge procession in the capital Dhaka. Devotees in various costumes including banners-festoons, bows and arrows with images of Bhagwan Ramchandra participated in the procession. Devotees remembered Prabhu Ramchandra by walking several kilometers, dancing and singing.
The procession started from Ram Sita temple at Jayakali Mandir road in Dhaka, parading through Dayaganj Shiv Mandir and end at Ramsita Mandir again.
The speakers said in the discussion meeting, Prabhu Ramchandra’s life teaches us about the devotion and loving relationship of father and son, brother with brother, husband and wife, sacred and responsible relationship, relationship of responsibility and duty with neighbors, responsibility and duty of subjects with the king. If you follow the life of Prabhu Sri Ramchandra, the conflicts in the family, society and the state will be stopped and a peaceful environment will be created. Everyone can live happily and peacefully in a peaceful and harmonious environment in the society.
The speakers thanked Bangladesh Government and the police administration for their cooperation in celebrating Ram Navami. Apart from this, various programmes including Prabhu Shri Ram Chandra Puja, Ramayana recitation, Ramayana Song, Ramayana Quiz Competition are also celebrated there.
Govinda Chandra Pramanik, Secretary General of Bangladesh National Hindu Mahazot said, earlier Ram Navami wad celebrated in 2 to 3 districts including the capital city Dhaka for the last 5 years. But this time the birthday of Lord Ramchandra is celebrated all over Bangladesh simultaneously.
He said that Prabhu Ramchandra’s birthday was organised in most districts of Bangladesh. Apart from procession (Shobha Yatra), these events included Prabhu Sri Ram Chandra Puja, biography discussion, Ramayana recitation, Ramayana song, Ramayana quiz competition etc.
