On February 26, the terror outfit Kashmir Freedom Fighters (KFF) claimed responsibility for killing a Kashmiri Pandit in Achan village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The deceased was identified as Sanjay Sharma, a bank security guard. The terror outfit has further threatened Kashmiri Hindus with “more attacks” in “days to come.”

KFF’s spokesperson Waseem Mir said, “Today in wee hours our cadre eliminated a Kashmiri Pandit namely Sanjay Sharma s/o Kashinaath Sharma R/o Achan Pulwama. We already have warned many times in the recent past that any Kashmiri pandit, Hindus or Tourists from India will be Eliminated.”

The terror outfit further claimed that “After the removal of Article 370 these people (Kashmiri Pandits) are nothing but pawns of occupation to further their settler colonialism agenda.” The terror outfit threatened, “Think again or be ready for your turn.”

The terror outfit said, “We promise to avenge every drop of blood of our martyr brothers. We ask people to remain cautious of nefarious plans of the occupier, stop giving refuge to any outsider.”

The terror outfit ended the statement with, “In days to come will will surprise you with more attacks.”

Since the attack, security has been tightened, and the area has been cordoned off to arrest the terrorists. The Kashmir Police said that the terrorists opened fire on Sanjay Sharma while he was travelling to a local market. While the locals rushed him to the nearest hospital after the attack, he succumbed to the injuries.

Kashmir Zone Police [@kashmirpolice] tweeted, “Terrorists fired upon one civilian from minority namely Sanjay Sharma S/O Kashinath Sharma R/O Achan Pulwama while on way to local market. He was shifted to hospital however, he succumbed to injuries. There was Armed guard in his village. Area cordoned off. Details shall follow.”

The terror outfit’s recent attack comes in a long line of attacks against Kashmiri Pandits. On October 15, 2022, KFF’s terrorists opened fire on Puran Krishan Bhat, a Kashmiri Pandit in Chowdari Gund in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.

On October 15, 2022, the KFF’s spokesperson Waseem Mir released a statement claiming responsibility for Puran Krishan Bhat’s killing. The terror outfit said, “Today our cadre carried out an operation in Choudhary Gund area of Shopian in which one Kashmiri Pandit Poran Krishnan was eliminated. As we have already warned about our attacks on Pandits and non-locals working on the Modi-led agenda of settler colonialism post the abrogation of Article 370.” The terror outfit threatened, “Wherever you are don’t think you are out of our eyes, it is just the matter of time and place next turn will be yours.”

On August 16, 2022, a Kashmiri Pandit was shot dead by terrorists at an apple orchard in the Chotipora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district, while his brother was injured in the same attack. The deceased was identified as Sunil Kumar, while his brother Pintu Kumar was injured.

On August 16, 2022, the KFF’s spokesperson Waseem Mir released a statement claiming responsibility for Sunil Kumar’s killing. The terror outfit said, “Asalamualikum. Today our cadre carried out an operation against settlers in Chotigam area of Shopian. In this operational one Kashmiri Pandit Sunil Kumar was eliminated and his brother Pintu was critically injured.”

The terror outfit claimed that the deceased and his brother were generating inputs for the agencies and “were forcing people for so-called Tiranga Rallies.” The terror outfit further said, “In addition to that we have already warned that anyone involved in demographic change of Kashmir whether Pandits or non-locals will meet the same fate.” The terror outfit ended the statement with a threat, “So be ready we are coming for you.”
