On February 14 2019, 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack wherein a convoy of vehicles carrying CRPF personnel on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
