Maoist posters threatening the MP and ex-MLA of the Goh constituency surfaced in the Bandaya and Goh region of Aurangabad on February 8. As per the reports, while giving a stern warning to the representatives, the Ultras asked them to follow the commands of the outlawed outfit.
Some purported handwritten posters were found in the Mahri and Jaitahi villages under Bandeya police station limits. In contrast, a few others were found near Dihuri and Pema villages under Goh police station limits.
In the poster found, the Ultras have barred the entry of BJP MP Sushil Singh in the region. In contrast, the former Janta Dal United (JDU) MLA has been given a death threat, ” Until the canal work is completed, Sushil Singh is barred from entering the Goh region; not obeying the order will force the outfit to oppose Sushil Singh, read the handwritten note.”
Further, it says that the ” Former JDU MLA Ranvijay Kumar is an epitome of imperialism, he needs to change his mindset otherwise he will meet the fate of Pandey of Paisi whose body is buried in the fields of farmers.”
It is worth noting that Kumar’s house had also been attacked by the Maoist in the past, following which a police station was set up near his house. “My family has been on the hit list of the Maoist for a long; I don’t know the reason behind it, but we are on the target”, said Kumar.
The Maoist, through their note, have also criticized the central government and threatened to blow up the JDU office in the region. Briefing the media on the development of Swapna Ji Meshram, SP Aurangabad said, “we have got the information following which an enquiry has been initiated; we are also conducting search operations in the region.”
Maoist commander surrendered in Gaya
In a separate development, a dreaded regional commander of the proscribed CPI (M), Abhyas Bhuiyaan, surrendered before the forces in Gaya on February 9.
The development comes after Bhuiyaan walked to the CRPF camp in the Rampur region of Gaya and laid down his weapon before authorities; it’s been learnt that the CRPF officials were in constant touch with Abhyas when the latter had crossed their paths during a recent combing operation in the region.
Abhyas, a seasoned Maoist and a member of the Bihar Jharkhand special area committee of the proscribed CPI (M), is a resident of Chatra in Jharkhand and has been named in a total of 21 cases, including murder, loot and extortion.
The Jharkhand government had already placed a bounty of Rs 15 lakhs on his head, while the Bihar Government announced a reward of Rs 15000.
It should be noted that the growing influence of the security forces in the insurgency-hit region of Bihar and Jharkhand has resulted in the surrender of many notable commanders, including Naveen Yadav and Aman Ganjhu, recently.
