BJP National Executive Meet: JP Nadda gets extension, to remain BJP National President till 2024 Lok Sabha election

JP Nadda started as the BJP working president in 2019 when then party president Amit Shah became Union Home Minister. Nadda took up the full-time party presidency in 2020

New Delhi: On January 17, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the National Executive Meeting informed that JP Nadda’s term as the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been extended till June 2024.

Amit Shah said “The tenure of JP Nadda as National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party has been extended till June 2024”.

The decision was taken at the National Executive Meeting of the BJP here in the national capital.

As per the sources, the proposal for Nadda’s extension was mooted by the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and was agreed upon unanimously by the members of the National Executive.

JP Nadda had assumed the Presidency of the BJP in June 2019.
