Extract of the book “Snakes in the Ganga: Breaking India 2.0 Part 2 September 2022-by Rajiv Malhotra and Vijay Viswanathan
In part 1 of the article, I covered why the book’s title is Snakes in the Ganga, how caste and racism are mixed, and why India needs to counter the dangers before it is too late.
In part 2, I will cover the following: Dangerous Afro-Dalit project to paint Dalit’s as the ‘Blacks’ of India, Propagating the Wrong Theory of Foreign Aryans and Their Misdeeds, Funding activities inimical to India’s unity, sovereignty, Stopping Intellectual Support to Subversive Elements in India, How Snakes Are Incubated, Nurtured in few American Universities.
From Breaking India, written in 2011, to Snakes in the Ganga: Breaking India 2.0, written in Sept 2022
The by-line ‘Breaking India 2.0’ explains new dangers compared to those discussed in Shree Malhotra’s classic book, Breaking India, written in 2011. This time, the forces are broader in scope and have substantial financial backing.
A summary of dangers visualized in the book Breaking India 1.0, as projected in 2011, is given in succeeding paras.
Dangerous Afro-Dalit project to paint Dalit’s as the ‘Blacks’ of India
In the 1990s, an African-American scholar at Princeton University told the author that he had returned from a trip to India, where he was working with the ‘Afro-Dalit Project’. This US-operated and -financed project frames inter-jati /varna interactions and the Dalit movement using American cultural and historical lenses. The Afro-Dalit project purports to paint Dalit’s as the ‘Blacks’ of India and non-Dalit’s as India’s ‘Whites’. The history of American racism, slavery and Black/White relations is thus superimposed onto Indian society.
The Dalit experience bears little resemblance to the African slave experience in America. Dalit’s in India have reached the highest positions in all walks of life in India. But taking its cue from the American experience, the Afro-Dalit project attempts to empower Dalit’s by casting them as victims.
Dividing India based on caste is perilous and should not be accepted. All individuals, organizations, and NGOs running such programs should be blocked. Only a united India will help the country to take its rightful place in the comity of nations faster.
Propagating Wrong Theory Foreign Aryans and Their Misdeeds
Separately, he was studying and writing about the ‘Aryans’, who they were, and whether the origin of Sanskrit and Vedas was an import by ‘invaders’ or indigenous to India. This led to research on the colonial-era construction of the Dravidian identity, which did not exist before the nineteenth century and was fabricated as an identity in opposition to the Aryans. Its survival depends upon belief in the theory of foreign Aryans and their misdeeds.
The authors had also been researching the US Church’s funding of activities in India, such as the popularly advertised campaigns to ‘save’ poor children by feeding, clothing and educating them. However, during trips to India, the authors found that the funds collected were being used not so much for the purposes indicated to sponsors but for indoctrination and conversion activities.
Additionally, the authors were involved in numerous debates in the US with think tanks, independent scholars, human rights groups and academics, specifically on their treatment of Indian society as a sort of scourge that the West had to ‘civilize.’
In his book “The Invasion That Never Was”, published on – March 1, 1996, Michel Danino proves that the theory of Aryan invasion was wrong (if proof was required). A student of Indian civilization, culture and history, he has lectured widely and published research papers in journals of archaeology and Indology. In 1996, he wrote a brief study of the Aryan in the Indian context, The Invasion That Never Was (2nd edition 2000), further enlarged a decade later in a French book. David Frawley, an American author and researcher, also proved that the Aryan invasion never occurred.
It’s incredible and shocking that so many generations have swallowed the myth of an ‘Aryan invasion’ all their years. It is an eye-opener, especially for all Indians who a fake history of their land has deceived. Subversion of our history requires to be corrected and countered.
Snakes Incubated and Nurtured in American Ivy League Universities
These opposing forces are infiltrating India’s institutions and polluting them with toxins to retard India’s economic progress. The book explains the new academic frameworks and discourse developed in places like Harvard University with sinister intentions towards India. It also describes how some of India’s elites, including some well-known ones, are knowingly or unknowingly, consciously or maybe unconsciously, actively sponsoring such opposing forces.
The book says that the nest where these snakes are being incubated and nurtured are American Ivy League universities. The production of such anti-India knowledge involves a large number of Indians at every level, but the overall leadership at the highest levels tends to be controlled by Westerners.
Many bright young Indians are lured into Harvard’s orbit, tutored and brainwashed before sending them back to India to spread the dangerous thinking. The authors examine several snake nests at Harvard – various departments and centres in public health, humanities, government, South Asian Studies and other disciplines, all under the Harvard brand. Even entire institutions are being set up in India where such individuals and ideologies are imported and spread among India’s present and future leaders.
Many such snakes are camouflaged as movements like human rights, social justice, women’s empowerment, pluralism, free speech, democracy, and other such buzzwords. The legitimacy of the Indian government is challenged, and all social problems are blamed on its government and the Hindu civilization. Dalit’s, Muslims, feminists, LGBTQ+ and others are aroused to oppose the Indian nation. This is a Breaking India strategy.
Harvard is a snake’s nest
Black author Isabel Wilkerson has added her voice through her book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. Her book has ‘fabricated a new identity that unifies Dalit’s and Africans and projects them ‘as the epicentre of victimhood’. She blames all racism worldwide on caste. According to her, caste, which she attributes to ancient Vedic sources, is the source of all racism. British picked it up from India and took it to America, resulting in racism against Blacks.
Wilkerson’s book has gained mileage in American media due to promotion by the New York Times and Oprah Winfrey through her book club.
At Harvard, Wilkerson’s thesis is taught as fact, and counter-arguments are not entertained. Many corporations use this work in their diversity training initiatives, which is an assault on Indian society. Snakes in the Ganga is the first serious rebuttal to Wilkerson’s thesis. The battle of narrative warfare can only be won if it’s fought in the US media and US universities like Harvard.
Harvard Universities’ effort to recolonize India
In the days of the British Raj, discourse about India was controlled by Oxford University. Now the Americans have taken over this recolonization project, headed by its institutions led by Harvard. The book uncovers the vast ecosystem and funding network created by Harvard and the speed and scale of these efforts.
“Harvard is a snake’s nest; their websites and dissertations are rife with the anti-Indian and anti-Hindu sentiment, where anti-India activists and ideas are incubated and bred. New threats have emerged that need to be identified and dealt with. This desire is to undermine Indian social structures. The book explains how American Marxism is being exported into Bharat through individuals supporting ideas and institutions dangerous to India.
Social Science Liberal Arts at Harvard Aren’t Based On Indian Ideas
A vital point explained in the book is that the DNA of such snakes is Marxism; this poison is spilling into society. The book describes how Marxism is being reformulated and repackaged into ideological systems like Critical Race Theory. The authors support movements like Black Lives Matter but wish to point out how such activities are dovetailed to fulfil Marxist agendas.
Social Science and liberal arts at Harvard aren’t based on Indian ideas. If Bharatiyas want to sponsor Harvard, they should support streams such as science, technology, engineering, and medicine.
The book also looks into the role of Indian corporates in” bringing the latest Western rubric of Environmental, Social, and Governance ratings into their workplace.” It “unveils uncomfortable truths concerning India’s vulnerabilities, “intense warfare against India’s integrity is the work of a well-orchestrated global machinery driven by a new ideology.”
Book points out how China doesn’t engage Harvard in social justice and human rights. India has to evolve the Indian rubric of Environmental, Social, and Governance ratings in India.
Like China, India should set Indian agenda for Harvard. Indian corporates like the Azim Premji’s, Anand Mahindra, Lakshmi Mitta, jay Piramal and many others should fund Harvard only if they follow the Indian way of thinking.
Funding activities inimical to India’s unity and sovereignty
The authors decided to track the primary organizations involved in promulgating various anti-Indian theories, spearheading political campaigns, and eventually prosecuting India on the grounds of human rights violations. The research included following the money trail by using the financial disclosure provisions in the US, studying the promotional materials from most such organizations, and monitoring their conferences, workshops and publications. They investigated the individuals behind such activities and their institutional affiliations.
What the authors found out should sound the alarm bell for every Indian concerned about our national integrity. India is the prime target of a huge enterprise—a ‘network’ of organizations, individuals and churches—that seems intensely devoted to creating a separatist identity, history and even religion for the vulnerable sections of India.
This nexus of players includes not only church groups, government bodies and related organizations but also private think tanks and academics. On the surface, they appear to be separate and isolated from one another, but their activities are well coordinated and well-funded from the US and Europe.
Their resolutions, position papers, and strategies are well articulated. Beneath the veneer of helping the downtrodden, some objectives are inimical to India’s unity and sovereignty.
The author’s research on anti-Indian Activities in the USA is very comprehensive and should be an eye-opener for everybody in India. The authors deserve to be complimented for their detailed research.
The Supreme Court on November 14 22 said religious conversions using force, allurement, or fraud might “ultimately affect the security of the nation and freedom of religion and conscience of citizens” while directing the Centre to “step in” and clarify what it intends to do to curb compulsory or deceitful religious conversion. This underlines how serious the threat is, highlighted by Shree Rajiv Malhotra in his book.
Intellectual Support to Subversive Elements in India
A few Indians from the communities being ’empowered’ were in top positions in these Western organizations, and the whole enterprise was conceived, funded and strategically managed by Westerners. However, there are now a growing number of Indian individuals and NGOs who have become co-opted by them and receive funding and mentorship from the West.
South Asian studies in the US and European universities invite many such ‘activists’ regularly and give them prominence. The same organizations had also invited and given academic support to Khalistanis, Kashmir militants, Maoists, and other subversive elements in India.
Whether the campaigns to mobilize Dalit’s, Dravidians, and others in India part of the foreign policy of a few Western countries? In no other major country, so many anti-society campaigns are being run.
This separatist identity gets weaponized into all-out militancy, LWE, violence or political fragmentation. It was noticed that many Indians are unaware of the subversive forces at work against their country.
This book looks at the current players involved in shaping these separatist identities. It includes an analysis of the individuals and institutions affected and their motivations, activities, and desired endgame. While many are located in the US and the European Union, there is an increasing number in India. The latter also functions like the local branch offices of these foreign entities.
The subversive elements come in many shapes and sizes. They need to be identified early and dealt with under the laws of the land. The country has finally started dealing with subversive elements from abroad and within. Over the last few years, many NGOs that received funds for subversive activities have been banned, or their funding stopped.
Much is being written about India’s rise in economic terms and its implications for India’s overall clout. But more is needed to be written on what can go wrong given the rapidly expanding programs exposed in this book and the stress they put on India’s fault lines.
