Quad understands the need for improved cyber security: US National Security Council spokesperson Emily Horne

Quad Senior Cyber Group met in Sydney for two productive days to deliver the vision of Quad leaders for a free, open & resilient Indo-Pacific.

 

New Delhi: Australia, India, Japan and the United States recognize the need for improving cybersecurity in an increasingly digital world with sophisticated cyber threats, US National Security Council spokesperson Emily Horne said. 

To deliver on the vision of the Prime Ministers of Australia, India and Japan and the US President for a free, open & resilient Indo-Pacific, Quad Senior Cyber Group met in Sydney for two productive days to discuss the opportunities in the region. The group will now report back to leaders through the established Quad processes.

US National Security Council spokesperson Horne further said steps would be taken to extend our cybersecurity cooperation and uplift cyber resilience and critical infrastructure protection in our region. 

This meeting resulted in a work plan to further collaboration between members and with partners and industry in the region. The idea is also to address the common challenges.
