Samajwadi Party national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was on live show of TV9 in Lucknow when he got angry and threatened TV9 anchor-reporter Abhishek Upadhyay.

New Delhi: The Samajwadi Party national president and former chief minister Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav threatened TV9 anchor-reporter Abhishek Upadhyay in a live show on Thursday (January 27).

Shri Akhilesh Yadav said this was the last time he was appearing in any programme of TV9 and will never appear for any programme of the channel.

He got angry after TV9 reporter Abhishek Upadhyay repeatedly asked him questions about ticket distribution of the Samajwadi Party and how he would ensure better law & order if elected to power.

“This is the last time I’m appearing for any interview on this channel. After today, I’ll never appear in any programme of this channel”, Shri Akhilesh Yadav said. He was speaking in the Satta Sammelan programme of TV9 in Lucknow.

During the live programme of TV9 of about 70 minutes, Shri Yadav was picking fights with moderators Abhishek Upadhyay and Nishant Chaturvedi.

He accused that the moderators were biased and were not asking questions of BJP leaders. Moderators tried to convince him that when BJP leaders will join the show for the programme later in the day, questions will be put to them also.

But this did not convince Shri Akhilesh Yadav. He was demanding answers from the moderators. Abhishek Upadhyay tried to convince Shri Yadav that he could not answer the questions as he was not a member of the ruling party and only the people of the ruling dispensation could answer his questions.

In a similar programme of Hindi news channel Aaj Tak on January 10 in Lucknow, Shri Akhilesh Yadav was constantly mocking senior Editor Anjana Om Kashyap. After some time, Editor Kashyap got angry and asked him not to mock her and answer the questions.

After the constant mocking, Editor Kashyap said, “Those would be different people who would take mocking from you. I won’t tolerate this…you might be a big leader of Samajwadi Party but you have no right to humiliate me.”

The BJP IT & Social Media head Amit Malviya said former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav is attacking the press because he does not have answers to the questions raised by the press and has no genuine issues to raise against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

“Akhilesh Yadav continues to attack the media for asking questions. After News18 and Aaj Tak, it is now TV9.

यही होता है जब आपके पास न मुद्दे होते हैं, न सवालों के जवाब… विरासत में मिली राजनीति करने वाले युवराजों का यही हाल है। राहुल गांधी से अखिलेश तक…”, he posted on Twitter.
