Dilshad Hussain was accused of raping his minor daughter. After coming out on bail, Hussain mocked the father multiple times.
A broken father, former BSF jawan, killed the alleged rapist of his minor daughter in broad daylight in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh on Friday (January 21).
The accused Dilshad Hussain was out on bail and had come to the court for the first hearing. The father reportedly shot Hussain in the head and surrendered to the police nearby.
Hussain, after coming out on bail, had mocked the father multiple times on social media platforms and had also threatened the family. The torture had even forced the father and his family to contemplate mass suicide.
In February 2020, Dilshad Hussain was booked under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Prevention of Child Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for abducting and raping the minor daughter of the former BSF jawan.
The police had apprehended Hussain in March 2020 from Telangana and the girl was rescued.
In a statement, Gorakhpur police said that the father, Bhagwat Nishad, who shot dead the alleged rapist of his minor daughter at the gate of the court, has been arrested and the weapon has been seized.
There was outpouring of sympathies on social media for the father. Many blamed the slow justice system for the frustration of the father whose minor daughter was raped.
TV Editor Ashok Shrivastav said if courts dole out date instead of justice, such incidents are sure to happen.

Advocate Veer Vikrant Singh wrote “No feminist claps?? No justice crusaders supporting? No civil society applauding? Justice for father, by father to her victimised girl.”
