Two more villagers were brutally killed by the ultras in Belchar today (January 10) as targeted killings of the alleged police informers by the left-wing extremists continue in Bijapur Chhattisgarh.

Local sources confirmed the Maoists had first setup their Kangaroo court in Belchar village under the jurisdiction of Jangala police station, just 3 km away from National Highway 63 and then brutally murdered two people. The slain villagers have been identified as Bhongi payami and Boti kohrami, a resident of kotrapal who was shot dead by the Maoists by accusing them of being police informers.

Talking to the media, Bijapur Sp Kamlochan Kashyap informed, "We have been informed about the fateful incident, and a police team has already been dispatched to the spot. Soon we will share the details."

It should be noted that, including this incident, eight persons have been brutally murdered by the ultras within a week. More recently, two youths from Rajnandgaon and Kanker, along with a couple and a villager in Bijapur, were also brutally killed by the ultras.
