Itanagar: India's border in Arunachal will soon have 4G connections. Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu said on Friday (January 7) that border areas in the state will soon have the facility of 4G connectivity. Recently the Arunachal government, in association with the Indian Army, opened a tourist spot on the border.
"The central and state governments are now focused on speedy development of the border regions by constructing roads and building other vital infrastructure. It is because of such aggressive stance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi road connectivity has extended to places like Taksing and other remote border areas in Arunachal, which was earlier unthought of," Khandu said. Recently, the Arunachal government has opened a tourist spot in the Tse Chu village near the border. The holy waterfall "Chumi Gytse" would be a major tourist attraction and bring new employment avenues for the locals.
CM Khandu has also stressed the importance of the presence of the civilian population from a strategic point of view in border regions, asserting that the Centre is focused on the speedy development of such areas. Khandu said people along the border areas should be "able to move freely and take up activities for a better lifestyle." Arunachal Pradesh shares a 1,080-km border with China, 440 km with Myanmar and 160 km with Bhutan.
