The VHP met 327 MPs of BJP, Congress, TMC, JD(U), AAP, CPM, RJD, Shiv Sena and National Conference to discuss various issues like conversion.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Saturday (December 18) announced that it would run a nationwide starting December 20 to make people aware about the conversions happening in the country.

The campaign would conclude on December 31. Every year the VHP December 23 as Dharma Raksha Diwas. Swami Shraddhanand, who started the Suddhi movement for the Ghar Wapsi of Hindus who had converted to Islam and Christianity, was martyred on December 23, 1926.

Shri Alok Kumar, central working president of the VHP, said that conversions in the country are happening by “allurement, fear or deceit”.

Calling it a threat to national security, Shri Kumar demanded a law against unlawful conversions. He specifically mentioned that in Punjab and coastal areas, conversion is happening on large scale. Some states like Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have brought laws against illegal conversions and they are yielding good results, he added.

The VHP met 327 Members of Parliament (MPs) in the current Winter Session. The MPs belonged to BJP, Congress, AAP, TMC, JD(U), RJD, CPM and National Conference. It included 10 Muslim MPs and 8 Christian MPs.

The delegation discussed how illegal conversions have become a threat to the national security. It also discussed that those tribal people who are converting to other religions should not get the benefit of the Constitutional provision of reservation.

Reflecting on the atrocities on Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh, Shri Kumar said that more than 150 Pooja Pandals were destroyed in Bangladesh recently. The world must be made aware of the atrocities Hindus are suffering in these countries.

On the practices adopted by the missionaries, Shri Kumar said, “The Church is openly practicing illegal conversions through fraudulent conspiracies such as ‘Changai Sabha’ (‘healing meetings’). Innocent forest dwellers, villagers and residents of backward settlements are being specifically targeted. The missionaries themselves have admitted that the number of churches established during the Corona period far outnumber those made during last 25 years.”

Missionaries have spent billions of dollars to convert tribal people to Christianity but have been successful in converting only 18% of such tribes. On the contrary, they have either converted or eliminated 100% aboriginals in the Americas, Australia, and New Zealand.

Now, missionaries are using fraudulent means also like calling churches a Dham or Mandir and wearing saffron robes, presenting Jesus as Krishna.

Many people are renunciating Islam and Christianity and doing Ghar Wapsi to Hinduism. Shri Kumar said, “The VHP calls upon the Hindu society to understand and appreciate the importance of their glorious original traditions and accordingly construct their personal and family life. We should welcome those with open hearts who return home and establish Roti Beti relationship with them.”
