The resolution was passed in the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) Baithak, which is currently underway in Dharwad in Karnataka.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) resolution, passed in the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) today (October 29), condemned the anti-Hindu violence in Bangladesh.

It termed the anti-Hindu violence a part of the larger conspiracy of the Islamists of further Islamisation of Bangladesh.

The resolution read, “The Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal expresses its deep anguish over the recent outburst of violence on Hindus in Bangladesh and also strongly condemns the continuing brutality on the Hindu minority there, which is the part of larger conspiracy by Jihadi groups to further Islamisation of Bangladesh.”

The current round of orchestrated anti-Hindu violence started on October 13 when Hindus were celebrating Durga Pooja. Islamists spread fake news that Quran was desecrated in one of the Durga Pooja pandals.

The Islamist mob attacked multiple pandals and temples. Many Hindu houses and shops were also targeted. On October 15, when Hindus were celebrating Dussehra, Islamists attacked the ISKCON temple in Noakhali.

“The ABKM is of the view that the Government of Bangladesh should take stringent measures to prevent the mounting incidents of violence against the minorities in their country”, said sah-sarkaryawah Arun Kumar.

He added, “The Government should also ensure that the perpetrators of anti-Hindu violence be handed severe punishment so that the Hindus will be assured about their secured dignified life availing their rights in Bangladesh.”

The population of Hindus in Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) at the time of partition was about 28 per cent which has now reduced to about 8 per cent.

“The frequent and targeted attacks are clearly a systematic effort to exterminate and uproot Hindu minorities whose population has witnessed a steep decline ever since the partition of Bharat”, said Arun Kumar.

As reported by the Organiser, Bangladesh Police on October 20 arrested one Iqbal Hossain for placing Quran in the Durga Pooja Pandal in Comilla on October 13.

Arun Kumar said that radical Islamist groups like Jamaat-e-Islami (Bangladesh) are continuously working to exterminate Hindu society.

“It was expected that Jamaat would stop doing it after 1971. But it didn’t”, said Arun Kumar.

He also questioned the silence of the international bodies when Hindus are being subjected to planned violence in Bangladesh. It was mentioned in the resolution also.

“The ABKM decries the deafening silence of so-called human rights watchdogs and UN affiliated bodies and calls upon the international community to come forward in condemning the violence and raise their voice for the safety and security of the Bangladesh Hindu, Buddhist and other minorities”, the resolution read.

It also cautioned that “the rise of radical Islamist forces whether in Bangladesh or in any other part of the world will be a grave threat to democracy and human rights of the peoples of peace-loving nations of the world.”

The resolution also appealed to the Union government “to use all available diplomatic channels to communicate the concerns of the global Hindu community and organisations to the Bangladesh Government over the attacks and human rights violation in Bangladesh to ensure security of Hindus and Buddhist there.”

The ABKM meeting today (October 29) also discussed the outreach programme of the Sangh Parivar for the Nidhi Samarpan for the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Arun Kumar said, “Of the total 6.51 lakh villages in the country, volunteers reached in about 5.34 lakh villages. About 30 lakh volunteers contacted 12.73 crore families.”

He added that from the very beginning of the Nidhi Samarpan Abhiyan, which was started on Makar Sankranti this year, the idea was to reach the maximum number of people and ensure their participation.

The three-day meeting of the RSS, Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) Baithak, started on October 28 in Dharwad in Karnataka and will conclude on October 30.
