The much hyper-inflated success story of the Kerala government in handling COVID-19 cases has been busted by the recent reports. The government is accused of reducing the COVID-19 tests to lower the number of people who have been tested positive. The tendency of reduced tests can be noticed from the past few weeks.
Today on October 9th, 9470 people are reported to be COVID-19 positives, with a test positivity rate of 10.72%. 16,758 people have been recovered from the disease. With almost all the other states showing minimal COVID-19 cases per day, Kerala is trying to save its face by showing a lesser number of cases.
Currently, there are 1,13,132 active COVID-19 cases in Kerala.
