Dr. Sabrina Leigh, an Italian writer and lecturer, has translated the ‘Athmopadeshaka Shathakam’ into Italian. This will be published in two weeks. “The vision of Sree Narayana Gurudeva is a wonder of the world. It needs to be spread all over the world. Guru’s messages can shed light in a world obscured by racism and religious extremism, ”said Dr Sabrina Leigh.
Last May, Sabrina Chelannoor gave an online lecture on ‘Indulekha’ in the English section of SN College. While preparing for it, her husband, Dr. Abdul Latif, he is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Philosophy at the American University of Rome, told her the history of SN College and taught her more about Guru.
“I was eager to know more deeply. I read the English translations of Guru’s works. That is how I felt the need to translate Athmopadesha Shathakam into Italian. I also got the help of Sachidananda Swamy of Chalakudy Advaitha Ashram,” Dr. Sabrina said.
This book describes the vision of Gurudevan and the changes it brought about in society. Sabrina is the director and publisher of Tawassul International in Rome. Sabrina, who translated many Indian works into Italian, including the Bhagavad Gita, is in the process of translating the Mahabharata.
“The message of the Guru is to spread all over the world that what one does for one’s own well-being, one should bring happiness to others. When I come to Kerala, I will definitely go to Sivagiri and Chempazhanthi,” Dr. Sabrina said.
