Paying homage to all those who lost their lives at the bomb blast of Shakti karyalaya in Chennai, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale recalled the martyrdom of Karyakartas of Tamil Nadu.

“I pay my respectful homage to all of them. Their supreme sacrifice will ever inspire the Swayamsevaks to shoulder the noble task of the nation. That was on August 8, 1993; I distinctly remember that I was attending the wedding of an ABVP karyakarta at Mysore, and the shocking news of Chennai came. The sudden reaction was that Tamil Nadu is going the Kashmir way!,” said Dattatreya Hosabaleji.  In his heart-rending message, Sarkaryavah said Pujya Balasaheb Deorasji’s visit was not only a consoling incident but also an inspiring and confidence-building event! “So many years have passed. We all know the current situation. At this juncture, I gratefully recall the martyrdom of our Karyakartas of Tamil Nadu and pay my respectful homage to all of them. Their supreme sacrifice will ever inspire the swayamsevaks to shoulder the noble task of the nation. My pranams to all adhikaris and Karyakartas.

Today I remember the fateful day and pay my homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives at the altar of Mother Bharat.” Sangh Adhikaris and karyakartas paid floral tributes to all the 11 killed in the Chennai Karyalaya Bomb blast on August 8, 1993. It was the 28th Martyr’s day of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
