Prime Minister Narendra Modi Pays Tribute to Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on His Punya Tithi

The founding president of the Bharatiya Janata Party was the first non-Congress prime minister to complete his tenure.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his Punya Tithi today (August 16). PM Modi visited Sadaiv Atal in the morning today to pay his tributes.

 

“We remember his warm personality, we remember his endearing nature, we remember his wit and humour, we remember his contribution to national progress. Atal Ji lives in the hearts and minds of our citizens. Today, on his Punya Tithi went to Sadaiv Atal and paid tributes to him”, he posted after visiting Sadaiv Atal.

 

Former Prime Minister and BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee breathed his last on August 16, 2018.

 

Shri Vajpayee was the founding president of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

 

Born on December 25, 1924, in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, Shri Vajpayee was inspired by the RSS in his very early days.

 

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Sadaiv Atal and paid his tributes.

 

“सदैव अटल स्मृति स्थल पर देश के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री श्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी जी का स्मरण कर पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की। अटल जी सदैव हमारी स्मृति में रहेंगे और देश के विकास में उनका अपार योगदान व निस्वार्थ राष्ट्रसेवा निरंतर हमारा मार्गदर्शन करती रहेगी।” he posted on social media platform Twitter.
