Guwahati: In a major boost to the air connectivity in the Northeast, Flybig Airlines is slated to launch its inaugural flight service between Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh’s Lohit district and Guwahati in Assam on August 16, under the UDAN initiative of the central government.
The air connectivity between Guwahati and Tezu under the Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh will be a major help for the Indian Army personnel serving in the bordering state of China. Tezu is a strategic location for the Indian Army close to the China border.
Flights between Tezu and Guwahati will be available four times each week.
The launch fares start from Rs 1199 making it possible for a larger number of people to travel by flight. On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of India, service provider Flybig will offer special fares for Army personnel serving in the region.

Tezu is a beautiful destination for travellers and pilgrims alike. A flight between Tezu and Guwahati is a remarkable landmark that will make travel convenient for passengers,"
Flybig will start with a frequency of four flights per week. The airline is also planning to introduce flights between Delhi and Shillong to enhance the connectivity between the northeastern state with the nation's capital. The scheduling of the flights will be made as per the arrangements that the airline company has managed to go ahead with the Meghalaya Transport Corporation commencing from August 16.
