The festival has been scheduled to be celebrated in Geneva, Switzerland, from September 7 to 11, commemorating the 75th year of Indian Independence.

Guwahati, August 9: Renowned Naga Hindi singer from Nagaland Ngukavi Zhimo, mostly known by his stage name “NK Naga”, will be performing at the “Bharat Mahotsav”, festival of New India, representing the state of Nagaland, reports a Dimapur daily. NK Naga is also the first Nagaland singer in Bollywood.

The festival has been scheduled to be celebrated in Geneva, Switzerland, from September 7 to 11, commemorating the 75th year of Indian Independence.

The festival is being organised by “Confluence”, an organisation for cultural events promoting indigenous artists and women empowerment across the world, in alignment with the “Make in India” vision. The festival was previously held in London, UK, in 2018 and 2019 and Dubai UAE in 2021.

The event includes fashion shows, exhibitions, cultural programmes, business meets, and felicitation ceremonies.

The Dimapur daily further reports that In an interview with Naga, it was learned that he was further to be awarded with the title, “Most talented singer”, by the organisation, and also was one amongst the 100 selected singers from 195 countries. In regards to him receiving the award, Naga acknowledged all those who supported him and appealed to continue to support him morally.

It can be noted that every state would have a representative each for the festival, where Naga received the invitation from the organisation to represent Nagaland.

Naga further added that he would be on a European tour, performing in London, Switzerland (Bharat Mahotsav), France, Spain and Germany in September.
