The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad will organise events throughout the year to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad announced Monday (August 10) that it would organise events throughout the year to celebrate the 75th year of independence.

It will hoist the tricolour at 1,28,335 places in the country to mark the occasion.

“Entering into the 75th year of independence, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has planned to hoist the National Flag at 1,28,335 places across the country,” said ABVP in a statement.

It added, “ABVP will also work on plans like internships, Tiranga march, social media campaigns, short films on forgotten warriors, etc. throughout the year.”

It appealed to the youth nationwide “to join the celebrations of independence throughout the year and remember the unsung, forgotten heroes of our independence.”

“This year India will enter the year of 75th anniversary of independence and a special campaign has been planned so that this year is celebrated with enthusiasm by the citizens of the country”, said ABVP National General Secretary Nidhi Tripathi.
