J&K govt launches new film policy to make Union Territory a shooting paradise

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said the new Film Policy would transform Jammu & Kashmir into a cinematographer's delight.

 

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has launched a new film policy to make the union territory a shooting paradise for filmmakers. Speaking on occasion, Lt Governor said that the J & K Government is creating a vibrant film ecosystem to bring back the golden era of filmmaking in J&K and transform UT into the most preferred film destination. He said the new Film Policy would transform Jammu & Kashmir into a cinematographer's delight.

 

Mr Sinha invited filmmakers from across the world to come to J&K and explore the pristine beauty of Jammu and Kashmir and avail a host of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives besides world-class facilities offered by it.

 

Mr Sinha added that the government has set up a Single Window Clearance mechanism; prepared Equipment, Location & Talent Directories besides offering a host of incentives for filmmakers coming to J&K.
