Even the dead are being ‘inoculated’ in the Congress-governed Rajasthan!

It might sound unbelievable but is true as Pravin Gandhi, a native of Dungarpur district in Rajasthan alleged that his dead parents have been vaccinated as per the message sent by the state medical department on his mobile phone. It quoted the Adhaar details of his mother and father who had passed away in 2015 and 2014 respectively.

“A few days back, I received a message about my parents getting vaccinated in Sri Ganganagar district of the state. It left me shocked because my parents passed away six to seven years back and had never ever visited the mentioned place,” he said.

These two messages on my cell phone confirmed that my mother and father have been given their first doses of Covishield vaccine at a healthcare facility in Sri Ganganagar district, he said adding that the surprising part of the story is that “Neither I nor my family has ever gone to this place. So how can their documents be used in another district, that too, in a circumstance when they are safely secured at our place, he questioned?

Gandhi is a resident of Dungarpur and has himself never been to Sri Ganganagar ever, he confirmed again.
Meanwhile, CMHO Dungarpur, RC Sharma, termed the incident as unfortunate and said the investigation revealed that this matter was reported in Shri Ganganagar and not in Dungarpur. Basically, Aadhaar details are cross-verified at the vaccination centre, he said with surprise and commented, “This is a very unfortunate incident.”

Gandhi inquired about the case and said that someone in 100 Kd village of Sri Ganganagar was vaccinated on his parents’ documents.

“It is very clear someone misused my parents’ documents as we have never been to this place ever. In fact, these documents are safely secured with us in our house and despite that, someone misused them. I am still trying to find out how this happened. The vaccine has been misused and it should be stopped immediately,” he added, Gandhi also approached two top officials in the district who told him that anybody could get it by taking advantage of face masks.
The question is how is this even possible? It’s not so easy. At vaccination centres, documents of beneficiaries are examined, screening is done and then vaccines are administered. A detailed investigation is the need of the hour,” he demanded.
