After the Union government’s proposal for the Oxygen audit in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s demand for Oxygen reduced by 40% with almost the same active cases.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia Thursday said Delhi’s Oxygen need was 582 MT.
About a week back, Delhi’s Oxygen demand was 976 MT.
The active Covid-19 cases in Delhi are 84000. About a week back it was 92000.
The Delhi High Court has come down heavily on the Kejriwal government for mismanaging the Covid-19 situation in Delhi.
The Union government requested the Supreme Court to order an Oxygen audit in Delhi as it believed the Kejriwal government was playing politics with the issue.
The Arvind Kejriwal government has been vehemently opposing the Oxygen audit.
Earlier it was reported that the Kejriwal government had not installed even one Oxygen plant in Delhi in the last seven years.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had earlier submitted in the Supreme Court that the Kejriwal government was not efficiently utilising the allocated Oxygen.
Even without making any arrangements on its own, the Kejriwal government ws blaming the Union government for the Oxygen crisis in Delhi.
