A girl was gang-raped at Tikri border where farmers are protesting against the three progressive farm laws passed by the Union government.

Two of the accused are Aam Aadmi Party leaders.

The victim had come to Tikri Border on April 12.

Since April 24, her condition started deteriorating. Every attempt was made to hush up the crime. But, when her health deteriorated further, she was admitted in a hospital on April 27 where she died on April 30.

The victim’s father has lodged an FIR against six people, two of whom are women. Kavita Arya and Yogita Suhag have been accused of pressurising the victim to keep her mouth shut about the gangrape.

Two accused, Anoop Singh Chanaut and Anil Malik, are Aam Aadmi Party leaders.

The other two accused are Ankur Sangwana and Jagdish Singh Barar.

They were active at the Tikri border for the last six months as the farmers’ social media army.

Now, the Kisan Samyukt Morcha has distanced itself from the incident.

Farmer leaders, Rakesh Tikait and Yogendra Yadav, have maintained silence on this issue.

Yogendra Yadav, who is the face of the farmers’ protest, has conveniently maintained silence on many such issues. He conveniently distanced himself from the riots in Delhi on January 26.
