A senior journalist with NDTV, Soumit Mohan, justified the political violence against the BJP workers and their family members by the TMC cadre.

Mohan Monday tweeted, “as you sow, so shall you reap”.

He said so while quoting an ANI tweet which reported about an attack on ABVP office and members in Kolkata.
After protest from different quarters, Mohan deleted the tweet and locked his account.

He has a verified account with 844 followers.

BJP workers and their family members have been facing violence since Sunday evening.

More than 15 workers have lost their lives. Many offices and members’ homes have been torched.

Delhi-based journals Saba Naqvi tacitly justified the violence.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been threatening the BJP members since the start of the poll process. On many occasions she said she would teach BJP members a lesson once the central security forces have left.

Her many ministers have followed her in threatening the BJP members.
