The Congress government in Rajasthan has decided to impose Section 144 in the state for a month starting Thursday.
All the markets, malls, schools, offices, workplaces and other commercial establishments have been shut since April 19.

The government announced these steps were needed to check the spread of the virus.

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his party colleagues have been severely criticising the lockdown as a measure to contain the virus.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a complete lockdown for a week.

Congress’ opposed the move saying it would put the common people under a lot of burden.

Rahul Gandhi had also criticised the nationwide lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in March last year.
Rahul did not explain how the lockdown announced by Congress’ governments are good but lockdowns announced by other governments are bad for the people and the economy.
