The students of Higher Educational Institutes are aggrieved by lethargic administration in various campuses around Rajasthan for the past few days demanding fulfilment of their promises by the government and also to resolve any problems students are facing at present.

Student members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Jodhpur on April 5, 2021, protested in Jai Narayan Vyas University Campus and other campuses around West Rajasthan for implementation of their 12 points charter of demand.

Students allege that due to lack of administration, the quality of education around all the campuses is consistently deteriorating and the government is paying no attention to the same. Moreover, because of low assurance in women safety, crime against women is increasing at high rates in educational institutes. Students have also complained about the same previously to state authorities but no direction has been issued in regard to the same.

Due to Covid situation, families are suffering from financial difficulties and regardless to the same government have not provided any scholarships which were already in implementation under the norms of the University. Students coming from the economically weaker background are facing financial difficulty to continue with their studies. For assurance in women safety, ABVP has also demanded the installation of CCTV cameras all around the campuses.
ABVP Jodhpur State Secretary Avinash Khara stated that the Ashok Gehlot led Congress Government to need to assure that amid this covid-19 era education institutes should not face any administrative and academic difficulties. Classes must continue as per the academic calendar without compromising women safety around the campuses.
