Five States exhibit 80 per cent of active COVID-19 cases

This takes the total tally to more than five crore eighty one lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered to the beneficiaries in the country so far.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry has informed today that in the last 24 hours over twenty six lakh doses of vaccines have been administered to the beneficiaries. This takes the total tally to more than five crore eighty one lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered to the beneficiaries in the country so far.
 
Meanwhile, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 94.84 per cent. One crore twelve lakh patients have already been recovered from the Covid-19 infection.
 
At present, there are more than four lakh fifty two thousand active cases in the country which comprises 3.8 per cent of the total positive cases.
 
Amid the rising new cases, more than sixty two thousand new cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative positive cases to over one crore nineteen lakh. Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh have reported a surge in daily new cases.
 
Five States, Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Chattisgarh together account for over eighty per cent of the total active cases in the country.
