Cabinet approves COVID-19 vaccine to people above 45 years from April 1

The central government has decided to provide vaccine to all citizens above 45 years from April 1st. Significantly, vaccines are currently being given to people above 60 years of age and people suffering from serious illness between 45 years to 60 years.

The central government has decided to provide vaccine to all citizens above 45 years from April 1st. Significantly, vaccines are currently being given to people above 60 years of age and people suffering from serious illness between 45 years to 60 years.
 
Earlier, the government had approved the first phase of vaccine for health workers and frontline corona warriors only. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Tuesday that a person above 45 years of age for vaccination does not need to show a doctor’s certificate from April 1st. If the age is above 45, he or she will get the vaccine.
 
According to information, the Union Cabinet met on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and took important decisions on vaccine-related issues on the advice of a special task force and scientists. This was stated by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.
 
‘Covishield’ can be given any time between 4 to 8 weeks
 
Regarding the discussion and decisions taken in the cabinet, he said that the vaccine will be given to all people above the age of 45 years from April 1st. In addition, the second dose of the vaccine, especially Kovichild ‘, can be given at any time between 4 to 8 weeks.
 
4.85 crore people have been vaccinated so far
 
On the vaccine program, the Union minister emphasized that it is happening at a good and fast pace. So far, 4.85 crore people have been vaccinated for vaccines. 80, 00,000 people have also taken the second dose of the corona vaccine.
 
Over 32 lakh people vaccinated during the last 24 hours.
 
During the last 24 hours, 32.54 lakh people have been vaccinated. Daily immunization has increased manifold since February. At the same time, Javadekar said that the corona vaccine is available in adequate quantities in the country. It may be noted that the Congress party has questioned the government over the slow pace of vaccination program on the government. Cabinet: All people above 45 years from April 1 to get the vaccine.
