Recently shunted Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh has moved Supreme Court for investigation by the CBI into his allegations against the Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.
In the plea filed in the court, Singh has alleged that Deshmukh “presurised” then-Police Commissioner Singh to investigate the role of some BJP leaders in the suicide of Member of Parliament Mohan Delkar.
The seven times MP from neighbouring Dadra and Nagar Haveli was found dead in a hotel in Mumbai in February. A suicide note was also recovered from his room.
Singh alleged Deshmukh was pressurising him to frame some BJP leaders in the case.
In the same plea, Singh has disclosed a “15-page” suicide note was recovered from Delkar’s room. Earlier, it was reported a “4-page” suicide note was recovered.
The former Mumbai Police Commissioner has also alleged Deshmukh used to set a target of INR 100 crores per month “collection” from shops and bars in Mumbai.
