A seven-day Sanskar Jagran Yatra was concluded on Friday at Chowkidinghee filed in upper Assam Dibrugarh district. Under the initiative of the Pragya Foundation, the Sanskar Jagran Yatra was started across Assam to create awareness of morality.
The main objective of the Sanskar Jagran Yatra- to set up an idle family through Reformation, the role of village in development of society and land security, the boycott of alcoholism and security of society, the security of indigenous culture, environment protection and Indian philosophy, organic farming and cattle rearing necessity in the society.
Speaking at the programme, renowned environmentalist Assam Soumyadeep Dutta said, “Our civilization was based on nature. We have started the conservation of nature many years ago and from us, the European countries have taken it. Our Hindu culture is based on nature and we have shown the whole world how nature is related to our lives,”.
He further added, “Our culture was attacked by Mughals and European countries and they tried to hijack our innovation but could not succeed because of our rich cultural legacy,”.
“Our main objective of the Yatra is to create an idle Indian society. In every district of Assam, the Sanskar Jagran Yatra have started. We have noticed that Indian society has becoming westernise by following their culture. So, through this Yatra we will create awareness of rich Indian culture and its value,” Siddhartha Sur Roy, secretary of Dibrugarh Sanskar Jagran Yatra informed.
