Guwahati: Ahead of the third visit (with this year) to Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that ‘it is always special to be in Assam’. In a tweet yesterday, PM Modi said “Tomorrow, 22nd February, I will once again have the opportunity to interact with the people of Assam at a public meeting in Dhemaji.”

In his visit to Dhemaji in eastern Assam, Modi is going to dedicate to the nation INDMAX unit at Bongaigaon refinery & petrochemicals Limited (Indian Oil), Oil India Limited’s secondary tank farm at Madhuban (Dibrugarh) and a gas compressor station at Makum (Tinsukia). He will also inaugurate Dhemaji Engineering College and lay the foundation stone for Sualkuchi Engineering College.

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who recently visited the venue of PM’s rally at Silapathar in Dhemaji district to take stocks of preparation, informed that all the projects have been undertaken under the PM’s vision of Purvodaya to drive eastern India’s socio-economic growth.

Sonowal, who was accompanied by Union minister Rameswar Teli, State ministers Jogen Mohan, Pijush Hazarika, Parliamentarian Pradan Baruah, legislators Prasanta Phukan, Rituporna Baruah, Bhuban Pegu and a few other responsible district officials, went to the meeting podium from where Modi would ceremoniously launch all these projects.
