Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat celebrated 72nd Republic Day by hoisting the National Flag at Dr Hedgewar Smarak Samiti in Ahmedabad.
Dr Mohan Bhagwat said, “Our country has a Central government, State governments and laws. However, we are a Republic which means that our country is run by the people. Every citizen should read the Constitution to know about our rights and duties enlisted in it.”
Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat also underlined the importance of the national anthem and national flag, which reflects our nation’s speciality.
“When we sing Jana Gana Mana, it makes us visualise different regions like Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, Maratha and it paints its boundary in front of our eyes,” he said.
Explaining the importance of the National Flag, Dr Mohan Bhagwat said, “that the three colours are a symbol of Sacrifice, Purity and Prosperity respectively. Accepting everyone, leading a restrained life and always being active for the well being of all is the purpose of Bharat. We can take our country forward by keeping the three colours in front of us. During his visit here, Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat held various meetings and discussed multiple works in Gujarat. n
