Taking the Sikh For Justice’s (SFJ) call for unfurling Khalistan flag at Delhi on India’s Republic Day, Khalistanis breached the security layer and raised their flag at Red Fort where the Prime Minister hoists national flag on every Independence day. Celebrating the unfortunate events which happened at Delhi, All Pakistan Muslims League took it to Twitter and cheered the unfurling of the Khalistani flag.
The APML said through its official Twitter handle, “Peaceful Sikh Protestor Removed Indian Flag from Red Fort And Waved Nishan Sahib Flag Which Is Very Sacred To Sikh People.” It also urged “Sikh Farmers and Muslims” to “stay strong”. The Pakistani political party is calling it a Black Day for the Indian Republic. The actions of the protesting mob have caused a massive embarrassment to India. However, the Congress party is celebrating the massive anarchy that has been unleashed at the national capital. The Congress party has hailed it as the ‘power of a Republic’.
The protesting mob, meanwhile, has attacked police personnel, attempted to lynch a policeman and have been attacking the police with swords, rods and stones. They defied all rules and regulations, broke barricades and unleashed unfathomable anarchy on the streets of the national capital.
In a video that went viral, a young man was seen throwing away the national flag.
The apologists of the so-called farmers’ protest have distanced themselves from the anarchy which happened in Delhi. Punjab CM Amarinder Singh “Shocking scenes in Delhi. The violence by some elements is unacceptable. It’ll negate goodwill generated by peacefully protesting farmers. Kisan leaders have disassociated themselves & suspended #TractorRally. I urge all genuine farmers to vacate Delhi & return to borders.”
Shashi Tharoor tweeted “ Most unfortunate. I have supported the farmers’ protests from the start but I cannot condone lawlessness. And on #RepublicDay no flag but the sacred tiranga should fly aloft the Red Fort.”
Barkha Dutt tweeted, “Like millions of Indians I have expressed solidarity for the rights of the #FarmersProtest and the strength and dignity and pride they showed. But this is absolutely unacceptable. ABSOLUTELY. And that too on Republic Day. These men just let their own side down badly.”
