Kolkata: Senior BJP leader and Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Sunday took part in door to door campaign in South 24 Parganas and several areas of South Kolkata. On the campaign, he explained to voters the mission and vision of the BJP. Shekhawat said that the BJP is like a new ray of hope in Bengal, which every resident of Bengal is ready to welcome. Modi ji has created a positive wave of change in the last six years, the impact of which extends to the remote areas of this beautiful, cultural state, he said.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat during a discussion with voters said that the Mamata government for Bengal is nothing less than a curse. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has forced the people of the state to live the life of 1970s. He said that Mamata government has become the biggest obstacle to development here, but Didi is forgetting that this is 21st century India, this is the new India of Prime Minister Modi’s dream, where BJP on the lines of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ is working . “This is the reason that now the people here have made up their mind to remove this obstacle and bring changes in the state.”

The Union Minister met BJP activists and people as part of the campaign in Bhangar Para of Behala West Assembly constituency, Majerhat Bridge, Trisha Bhawan, Ravindra Nagar Bus Stand and several areas of Pakur Bazar. People welcomed Shekhawat with flower garlands. Shekhawat said that the Modi government at the Center has been running schemes for every category including women, children, youth, elderly, farmers, and businessmen in the country. Crores of people are benefiting from these schemes, but every section of Bengal is deprived of these schemes. Mamata Didi does not want people to get benefits of these schemes.

Met 95 year old Burman ji

The Union Minister met 95-year-old Sunil Burman, who played an important role in the formation of Jana Sangh. Shekhawat said that Burman ji’s love for the nation cannot be described in words.
