The Kerala police have arrested a Madrasa teacher for raping his 16-year-old daughter in Nileshwaram, Kasaragod.
In a shocking incident, the 16-year-old girl was brutally raped by seven people, including her father.
The incident came to light when the survivor lodged a complaint at Nileshwaram police station. Although the victim’s mother knew about the incident, she did not inform the police.
So far, four people, including the victim’s father, have been arrested in connection with the incident. The was already charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) in another case.
In her statement to the police, the victim said that her father had been molesting and raping her for the last three years. The survivor also revealed to the police that she was subjected to abortion. She was raped by other six accused. While two of them are already in custody, the other three accused are on the run.
The mother will also be charged for hiding the incident, said the police.
