Congress? Love Thy Neighbour Policy

Congress has always been a ‘harbinger of peace’. They want to establish peace at any cost, even if it means compromising on our national interests. For Congress, peace has always been more important than anything else. Especailly, the kind of “Peace” preached by Dr Zakir Naik and practised by Pakistan and China

their honour by the Chinese Premier in Beijing (December 1988)
“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself”. The Book of Leviticus and the New Testament quote Jesus Christ on the ethic of reciprocity known as the Golden Rule. In simple, “Non-Tharoorian” English, it means “Love your neighbour”. There are scores of Christian nations in the world. But it is a bitter fact that none of them follows Jesus Christ.
The only true follower of these “Catholic values” is the Congress party lead by Sonia Gandhi and her family. Just look at the abundance of “Love” they have. They love Pakistan, we all know it. Hence they tried to blame RSS for the 26/11 attacks to absolve Pakistan. They love Bangladeshi immigrants. They love Rohingyas from Myanmar. Their love is so much that Sonia Gandhi cried her heart out all night long for the ‘victims’ of Batla House encounter.
This love for neighbours isn’t new to the Congress. Chacha Nehru loved China more than he loved himself or India. This trans-Himalayan blunder, oops…! ‘love’ meant China got the permanent UNSC seat, Aksai Chin, Tibet, 1965 war and everything on a platter. Chacha’s ‘Punch’ sheel” was used by China to punch India in the nose. Fortunately, there was only one nose and hence the Chinese left us for good in 1965.
With this background, it is ridiculous to question the Congress or Sonia Gandhi’s family about the controversy surrounding the funds flowing into Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF) from different sources, especially from China. Some nosey people are poking their nose into the hitherto unprobed affairs of RGF. Sonia Gandhi was always fiercely protective of RGF. She had refused to divulge the details of charity done by RGF even to a government run by her own party. “Times Now” might have changed but Sonia Gandhi hasn’t and RGF continues to believe in being supremely independent. After all, it was Nehru-ji who gave Independence to India. Independence and freedom indeed are proverbial “Baap Ka Maal” of Nehru family.
This love for the neighbour in general and China in particular, began from Chacha Nehru. But Rahul Gandhi took it to its logical conclusion. In a first of its kind event, Rahul signed a “Party to Party” deal with Communist Party of China (CPC) when his party was in power. Xi Jinping, the then Secretary of CPC, was the Chinese signatory to this deal for greater cooperation and consultation between parties.
Can a measly Rs 90 Lakh compensate for all these Himalayan sacrifices? That too when the Chinese continue to practise “Punch-Sheel” and keep on punching India at UNSC, on Pakistan sponsored terror, in Nepal, in the Maldives and practically everywhere. The answer is quite clear. The slush fund RGF received from China cannot be called “quid pro quo”. The quid was way too meagre for all the sacrifices Congress made for the sake of “Love Thy Neighbour” policy
The NDA Government lead by Modi has destroyed this “unilateral goodwill” that Congress shared with China. By constructing infrastructure on Indian territory, Modi clearly has violated this “Love Thy Neighbour” policy meticulously nurtured by Congress over decades of sacrifice. Sacrifice of national interests, India’s territorial integrity and self-respect.
Can a measly amount of Rupees 90 Lakh compensate for all these Himalayan sacrifices? That too when the Chinese continued to practise “Punch-Sheel” and keep on punching India at UNSC, on Pakistan sponsored terror, in Nepal, in the Maldives and practically everywhere. The answer is quite clear. The money RGF received from China cannot ever be called “quid pro quo”. The quid was way too meagre for all the sacrifices Congress made for the sake of “Love Thy Neighbour” policy that was nurtured by Nehru-ji and perfected by Sonia-ji and Rahul-ji.
With this big picture of “Himalayan sacrifices” of Nehru family before us, is there any meaning in questioning the RGF about the funds it received from Dr Zakir Naik’s Peace Foundation, from Nirav Choksey and many such people? After all, Dr Naik was indulging in “holy war” to establish “Peace” and he made a contribution towards that cause to RGF because he understood Sonia Gandhi and her family followed “Love Thy Neighbour” policy.
When Rahul Gandhi went all over India informing the people “Chowkidar Chor Hai”, he was just expressing his fears of Modi “robbing” RGF of benefits of all the “unilateral goodwill” cultivated by his family. Funds that rightfully should have flowed into RGF weren’t flowing because Modi was constructing an infrastructure that leads to blockade of these funds. Wasn’t that robbery?
Some mean people say, “Rajiv Gandhi Foundation is aptly named because most of its dealings are underground. In fact, they can be called underworld.” They are mean and uninformed people. They don’t understand what Nehruvian egalitarianism is. They are ignorant of “Unilateral goodwill”. These people are just too selfish. They think only about India and India’s interests. That’s why they are against Pakistan, China, Bangladeshi immigrants and Rohingyas.
The world is facing a lot of strife. People are fighting people and nations are fighting nations. The whole world is fighting the unfairly named “Chinese Virus” and “Kung Flu”. In these gloomy situations, Congress has always emerged as a harbinger of peace. They want to establish peace at any cost, even if it means compromising on national interests. For Congress, peace has always been more important than anything else. The kind of “Peace” preached by Dr Zakir Naik and practised by Pakistan and China.
