218 Indians stranded in Coronavirus-hit Italy arrive in India; 234 Indian evacuees from Iran quarantined at Army facility in Jaisalmer

A fresh batch of 236 Indian nationals evacuated from Iran has reached Jaisalmer. Two Air India aircraft brought the Indians back home this morning. All evacuees have been kept in a wellness centre operated by the army after a medical check-up.
Defence spokesperson Colonel Sambit Ghosh said they were tested negative for coronavirus in Iran. Their health will be monitored for at least 14 days by placing them at the wellness centers set up by the army in Jaisalmer.
Meanwhile, a total of 218 Indians, including 211 students, stranded in coronavirus-hit Italy arrived in India this morning onboard an Air India flight from Milan. They will be quarantined for two weeks. They were taken to the ITBP quarantine facility at Chhawla camp in the national capital.
